Η Love Cyprus Golden Stage θα αποτελέσει ένα πραγματικό πόλο έλξης για Κυπριακά και ξένα πληρώματα στο φετινό CNPASFALISTIKI Ράλι Κύπρος. Με την υποστήριξη του Κυπριακού Οργανισμού Τουρισμού, τα πληρώματα που θα αγωνιστούν στο Ράλι Κύπρος, θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να διεκδικήσουν ένα μερίδιο από τις 60.000 ευρώ του επάθλου στις δυο τελευταίες ειδικές διαδρομές της σεζόν του 2016.
«Το Ράλι Κύπρος, ο τελευταίος γύρος του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Ράλι της FIA, έγινε ακόμη καλύτερο!» δήλωσε ο Συντονιστής του ERC, Jean-Baptiste Ley. «Αυτή είναι φοβερή είδηση για τους οδηγούς και τις ομάδες, ενώ ταυτόχρονα υπογραμμίζει την υποστήριξη που προσφέρουν οι αρχές της Κύπρου προς τον αγώνα. «Οι διάφοροι τίτλοι του ERC είναι ανοικτοί και μαζί με το χρηματικό έπαθλο των 60.000 ευρώ – που είναι επιπρόσθετα των 20.000 ευρώ που ήδη προσφέρονται στους πρώτους επτά οδηγούς του ERC – το Ράλι Κύπρος θα αποτελέσει μία συναρπαστική κορύφωση στην ανταγωνιστική σεζόν.»
Οι πληροφορίες για τις δύο ειδικές διαδρομές που θα απαρτίζουν την Love Cyprus Golden Stage δεν θα αποκαλυφθούν ακόμη, ωστόσο η Ανίτα Δημητριάδου, Αναπληρώτρια Γενική Διευθύντρια του Κυπριακού Οργανισμού Τουρισμού, δήλωσε σχετικά. «Ο Κυπριακός Οργανισμός Τουρισμού υποστηρίζει ενεργά την Golden Stage, τόσο για την σημασία που προσδίδει στο Ράλι Κύπρος και τα πληρώματα που λαμβάνουν μέρος, όσο και για την προώθηση της οποίας θα τύχει η Κύπρος εκείνη την περίοδο».
Θα πρέπει να αναφέρουμε ότι το χρηματικό έπαθλο που προσφέρει ο ΚΟΤ αφορά όλους τους οδηγούς, είτε αγωνίζονται στον Ευρωπαϊκό πρωτάθλημα, είτε στο πρωτάθλημα Μέσης Ανατολής είτε για το Κυπριακό πρωτάθλημα. Ο Εθνικός μας αγώνας, το μεγαλύτερο αθλητικό γεγονός του τόπου, θα είναι φέτος ο δέκατος και τελευταίος γύρος του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Ράλι της FIA και θα διεξαχθεί στις 7-9 Οκτωβρίου.
Golden Stage will be extra special
for both Cyprus and the ERC
The Love Cyprus Golden Stage will provide an extra special climax to the 2016 season, representatives from the FIA European Rally Championship and Cyprus Tourism Organization have said.
Crews contesting the Cyprus Rally will compete for a share of 60,000 euros over the final two stages of the 2016 season. “The Cyprus Rally, the final round of the FIA European Rally Championship season, has just got even better!” said series co-ordinator Jean-Baptiste Ley. “This is great news for the drivers and teams and it really underlines the tremendous support being extended to the event by the authorities in Cyprus.
“With the various ERC titles still up for grabs and now a prize fund of 60,000 euros at stake – which is in addition to the usual 20,000 euros on offer to the top seven ERC finishers – the Cyprus Rally will serve as a thrilling climax to yet another exciting and hotly-contested ERC season.”
Full details of the Golden Stage are being kept under wraps for now, but Annita Demetriades, Acting Director General of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, said the area chosen will make for spectacular competition.
“The Cyprus Tourism Organisation actively supports this stage both for its importance as part of an important European athletic event as well as for the special promotion that it offers Cyprus,” she said. “Through this year’s Golden Stage the spectators will have the opportunity to get to know a different area of Cyprus that will contribute in its own special way to the success of this particular stage, but at the same it will lift the adrenaline levels to the maximum.”
